Sources said that the Chief Minister plans to meet with affected families and review the progress of the ongoing investigation. His advisor, Nasir Aslam Wani, is expected to accompany him.

This visit follows criticism over his delay in visiting the affected area. “The CM will visit the village today to understand the situation firsthand,” sources added.

The Jammu and Kashmir administration has formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) comprising senior police officers and medical experts to probe the unexplained deaths. Additionally, an inter-ministerial team from the Home Ministry is working closely with local authorities to investigate potential poisoning, possibly linked to local rivalries.

The community is gripped with fear and uncertainty, demanding clarity and assurances regarding their safety. “This series of deaths is unprecedented, and we are committed to a transparent and thorough investigation,” a source close to the investigation stated.

Initial findings have ruled out common causes, further deepening the mystery. The SIT is conducting detailed analyses of food and medicine consumed by the victims while working with medical experts to uncover the cause of the tragedy.

The affected villagers, deeply shaken, await answers as the investigation continues. Local leaders and the district administration have expressed their condolences, urging residents to remain calm.

Authorities have assured the public of full transparency and swift action based on the findings of the expert team. Meanwhile, local leaders and officials continue to provide support to the grieving families during this difficult time. (KINS)
