The seventh girl recorded her statement before the Chief Judicial Magistrate Budgam, accusing the fake ‘faith-healer’ Gulzar Ahmad Bhat of sexually abusing her. Meanwhile, Gulzar Bhat was again produced before the Court during the early hours on Tuesday while police sealed all the entry points of the Court and didn’t allow anyone to enter into the premises of the Court.
A police official, who is part of the investigation process, told local news gathering agency CNS that seventh girl came forward and recorded her statement. “The girl voluntarily recorded her statement before Chief Judicial Magistrate Budgam Gowhar Majid Dalal, charging the fake dervish with sexual exploitation,” the official, wishing anonymity, said.
The fake darvesh was once again today produced before the Court amid tight security. No one was allowed to enter into the Court premises during the presence of fake faith healer in the Court.
Superintendent of Police Budgam, Utam Chand told CNS that after verifying the state of health of the accused the Court directed the police to shift the accused to Central jail. “The accused has been shifted to Central Jail, Srinagar,” he said.
Meanwhile a police official told CNS that one more close aide of Gulzar Bhat was arrested during a raid. “We are questioning him and hopefully something constructive will come out once his questioning will be over,” he said.
