Alleging the Public Prosecutor of receiving bribe, the ‘victim girls’ of the Gulzar Pir case Friday said that their faith on the judiciary was jolted after the accused was released by the Principal Sessions Court Budgam.
“The public prosecutor was bribed by Gulzar and his followers so he did not argue strongly before the court,” cried the girls while protesting in the Press Enclave.
Gulzar was rearrested by police the other day after released by the Principal Sessions Court Budgam.
The girls held a peaceful protest against the public prosecutor and the release of Gulzar.
Gulzar, was arrested by police in May 2013 after serious accusations of rape however he was acquitted by principal sessions Judge Syed Tauqeer recently.
The ‘victim girls’ along with many people from Budgam reached Press Enclave to protest against the public prosecutor.
Terming Gulzar’s release as “injustice to them” the protesting girls said, “by the verdict of Budgam court our faith on the judiciary has got jolted badly.”
Gulzar was arrested after police received a complaint from at least five minor girls alleging that they have been sexually exploited repeatedly by Gulzar.
