SRINAGAR: A gunfight broke out between militants and counterinsurgent forces in Zolwa village of Kralpora in Chadoora area in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Thursday.

Reports said that a joint team of Army, CRPF and Police launched a cordon and search operation in Zolwa village of Kralpora in Chadoora area after having credible inputs about the presence of some militants in the area.
As the joint team of Police and CRPF approached the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon forces triggering an encounter.
When last reports came intermittent firing was going on.
