SRINAGAR: A gunfight broke out between militants and government forces in Wagoora area in Naugam in Central Kashmir’s Srinagar district on Tuesday late night.
Reports said that a joint team of CRPF and Police launched a cordon and search operation in Wagoora Naugam area after having credible inputs about the presence of some militants in the area.

As the joint team of forces approached the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon forces triggering an encounter.
When last reports came intermittent firing was going on.
