Police Monday said three militants were killed in a gunfight that broke out between militants and forces in South Kashmir’s Islamabad.
The gunfight broke out in Islamabad’s Tantraypur-Silgam area after a joint party of police’s SOG and Army launched a search operation in the village acting on specific information, police said.
“This led to the exchange of fire, leaving three local Hizb-ul-Mujahideen militants, Adil, Arif and Amir, from Bijbehara dead,” police said.
