A gunfight broke out between government forces and militants on Friday in Sutsoo Kalan in Nowgam area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
Reports said that on specific inputs about the presence of militants joint team if forces including 50RR, CRPF and SOG of Jammu and Kashmir Police laid search operation in Sutsoo Kalan area of Nowgam in Budgam in wee hours of Friday.
As the searches were going on, the militants opened fire, leading to a gunfight, said an official.
Meanwhile, internet services have been slowed down in parts of Srinagar while as snapped in Budgam in wake of a gunfight.
