Two militants were killed on Friday in a gunfight with the government forces in Sutsoo Kalan in Nowgam area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
Taking to social networking site Twitter, Police wrote: “#Nowgam #encounter update: 02 #terrorists killed. Identities & affiliations being ascertained. #Arms & #ammunition recovered. #Search is going on (sic).”
Quoting a senior Police officer news agency GNS said that two militant bodies were recovered from encounter site along with one M4 rifle and an INSAS.
The report said five Armymen were also injured in the gunfight at Sutsoo Kalan.
The officer further said that firing has stopped as off now but searches are going on.
