Gunfight rages in Srigufwara area of south Kashmir’s Islamabad district on Friday morning between government forces and militants.
Official sources said that on a specific information army and SOG launched a search operation in Srigufwara area.
As such the joint team of forces approached the suspected spot the hiding militants fired upon government forces triggering an encounter.
As per sources two to three militants are believed to be trapped.
It’s pertinent to mention that this is the second encounter after the suspension of a ceasefire and the first encounter after a governor’s rule in the Jammu and Kashmir.,
