A gunfight broke out between militants and counter insurgent forces in Narwani area of south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Friday.
Reports said that a joint team of Army and SOG launched a cordon and search operation Narwani area of Imam Sahib in Shopian after having credible inputs about the presence of some militants in the area
As the joint team of forces approached the suspected, the hiding militants fired upon forces triggering an encounter.
Meanwhile, mobile internet service was suspended in south Kashmir’s Shopian district.
