A policeman was injured after militants fired at him in Kulgam district of southern part of Kashmirlate Thursday night.
The cop has been identified as Saleem Yousuf Bhat, a resident of Yamrach in Kulgam.
Reports said that Saleem was attacked outside his residence. He is posted in Baramulla and was home on vacation.
He was immediately shifted to a hospital where his condition is said to be stable.
