SRINAGAR: The residence of a worker of ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in was ransacked by gunmen in Dadsara village of Tral township of Pulwama district on Saturday.

Reports said that at around 8:15 pm, gunmen barged into the house of PDP zonal president Peer Mohammad Ashraf and vandalized his house, besides firing some shots in air.

Ashraf was not present in the house.

Soon after the incident, forces rushed to the spot and conducted searches to nab the militants.

Later, a report said the militants also barged into the residence of a soldier Ishfaq Ahmad (another report said Mushtaq Ahmad Bhat) at Zasaw village in Tahab belt of south Kashmir. The soldier was on duty. Militamts left and fired in air outside their home. No more details were immediately available.
