Gurez–Bandipora Road to Open One-Way Tomorrow, Subject to Weather and BRO Clearance

   

SRINAGAR: Subject to fair weather conditions and clearance from the Border Roads Organisation, traffic on the Gurez to Bandipora road shall be allowed on December 25, 2025, strictly as per a regulated schedule and prescribed conditions.

Officials said vehicular movement will be permitted only from Gurez towards Bandipora. The starting time from Traffic Check Post Kanzalwan has been fixed at 11:00 am, while the cut-off time for movement from the same point will be 2:00 pm.

No heavy motor vehicles will be allowed to ply on the route. Authorities have also made it mandatory for all vehicles to be fitted with anti-skid chains, failing which movement will not be permitted.

Traffic from the opposite direction, that is from Bandipora to Gurez, shall remain strictly prohibited. Additionally, no vehicle will be allowed to cross Wanpora Bridge until a green signal is received from the Border Roads Organisation.
