The body of a second militant was recovered from the site of a gunfight in Hajin area of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district, a police official said.
Taking to social networking site Twitter, police wrote: “Hajan update: The body of the second militant recovered from the encounter site. Search continues.@JmuKmrPolice.”
Earlier, police had said that a joint search party of army and police were fired upon by the militants soon after the search operation was launched in Parra Mohalla area of Hajin.
The fire was retaliated which resulted in the exchange of gunfire, he had said.
