Hajin town of Bandipora district in northern part of Kashmir is observing a complete shutdown today on Thursday to mourn the killing of two LeT militants in a gunfight with forces on Wednesday.

Local sources said that all the shops and business establishments are shut while traffic is also off the roads.

Nasrullah Mir, a local resident, was killed along with his associate in a brief gunfight with forces on Wednesday morning in Rakh-i-Paribal area of the town.

Thousands of people participated in the funeral prayers of slain Nasrullah in his ancestral village.

Two Air Force commandos working with army for training purposes were also killed in the gunfight.

Police late Wednesday afternoon in a statement said that the slain militants were responsible for killing off-duty BSF man, Muhammad Ramzan Parray on September 27.
