Educational institutions across Kashmir valley remained closed on Thursday as the resistance leaders urged students to hold protests in their respective institutions against braid chopping incidents.

Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, Baseer Ahmad Khan has ordered closure of all government and private schools, colleges and other institutions in the valley as a precautionary measure.

Meanwhile, the Kashmir University has suspended class work, while the examinations will be held as per schedule, a statement of the University said.
