The Peoples’ Democratic Front chief and legislator from Central Kashmir’s Khansahib Hakeem Mohammad Yaseen on Wednesday declared its support to BJP, saying strong government is needed to mitigating peoples’ woes.

Talking to KNS, Hakeem Mohammad Yasin said he is in touch with the BJP and would support it, if required for the formation of the government in Jammu and Kashmir.

He added that the government must be formed at an earliest so that peoples’ issues  that erupted mainly after the ravaging September issues, could be addressed sans any further delay.

Hakeem said the strong government on ground is needed as it would be able to deliver its promises, the parties made to the people of the state during polls.

Claiming that the 7 winning independents would play a key role in the formation of the government in Jammu and Kashmir, Hakeem said people of the state have voted en-masse for the development of Jammu and Kashmir and same cannot be undermined any further.

Hakeem said he is in touch with the BJP leadership and has agreed to support the party for the formation of the government in JK.

Terming loss of Ghulam Hassan Mir from Gulmarg, an unfortunate episode, Hakeem, Mir’s close aide, said he was surprised when the results came to fore.
