Reiterating his demand for impartial and time bound probe into Chattergam killings to bring the facts to fore, Peoples Democratic Front (PDF) president and MLA Khansahib, Hakim Muhammad Yasin Thursday said there is urgent need to punish the guilty to restore the confidence of people.
Addressing one-day workers convention in Townhall Budgam today, he said, “The killers of two innocent youth should be punished so that a message goes that nobody is above law. The probe should be transparent, impartial and time bound so that confidence of people is restored.”
He lashed out at the successive regimes for ignoring Budgam district on developmental front. “Despite being just some kilometers away from Srinagar, people of this district still crave for basic amenities. The district has also been ignored in providing employment to the youth,” he said.
“On the popular demand of people of Budgam, PDF has decided to field young leader Fayaz Ahmad Dar from the Budgam constituency. Now it is the turn of people to make him successful so that he can represent them in a better way,” Hakim Yasin added.
The PDF president assured the people that if his party candidate is made successful from Budgam, he will make the constituency model constituency like Khansahib.
