Terming the Handwara incident as a “sufficient evidence against the state sponsored atrocities and persecutions” which the hapless people in Kashmir are facing, Jama’at-e-Islami J&K Wednesday said that the “Indian establishment” has become a most “dreaded imperialist and colonial fascist power” for the people of Kashmir.
In a statement issued here, Jamaat Islami J&K while strongly condemning the “brute force employed by the Indian forces against the unarmed peaceful protestors” in Handwara asked the World community and the Human rights bodies to take notice of “state sponsored brutality” against the common masses and take effective measures to get it stopped.
Jama’at further expressed its solidarity with the bereaved families and wished speedy recovery to the injured. “Jamaat Islami also registers its strong protest against the injustice perpetrated by the Indian forces upon the people of Kashmir,” the statement added.
