Handwara youth who was injured in Handwara town on Tuesday is being treated in Bones and Joints hospital for his injuries.

GMC Principal Dr Kaisar Ahmad told KNS that the youth, Rayees Ahmad, was operated in his legs by the doctors in the hospital.

“He was operated in his legs for bullet injuries, and is at present stable,” Dr Kaisar said.

Rayees Ahmad of Bakiakher, Handwara, was injured in forces firing in Handwara town on Tuesday during protests against the killings to two youth by army after locals protested against the alleged molestation of a girl by an army man.

Mohammad Iqbal Farooq Pir of Shalpora Drugmulla Kupwara, Naeem Qadir Bhat  of Herpora Handwara were killed in army firing yesterday while as aged woman Raja Begum of Langate who was injured in the firing incident succumbed early today.
