Minister for Agriculture Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura distributed Rs 13.5 lakh among 18 families of Tehsil Chadoora whose residential houses were damaged due to landslides and land erosion in March 2015 today at village Hanjura in Charar-e-Sharief Constituency. He also distributed Cheques worth Rs 75000 among three families of Charar-Sharief Constituency whose houses were damaged due to fire incidents.

Deputy Commissioner, Budgam Mir Altaf Ahmad, senior offices of various department of the district were present on the occasion, an official statement said on Sunday.

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that the Government under the leadership of Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed is committed to provide basic amenities like adequate drinking water, power, education, health and other basic civic facilities to the people of nook and corner of the State. He said in this regard several measures were taken up and sufficient funds released for various developmental works under different sectors.

He said that the construction work on several micro and macro projects under different sectors is apace and completion of these welfare projects will change the socio-economic condition of the people of the Constituency. He said that massive developmental works have been taken in hand the State and new changes will be seen in near future on ground.

During his tour, several devaluations met the Minister and apprised him about their problems including construction of lanes, drains and replacement of damaged electric poles. The Minister gave them patient hearing and said that the Government is fully aware about the problems of the people. He said the demands put forth will be redressed at an earliest.
