Hurriyat Conference Jammu Kashmir has called for peaceful protests on Friday against the Chattergam killings and has urged the preachers across valley to make special supplications for martyrs of Kashmir in general and Nowgam martyrs in particular.

According to HCJK, a delegation led by Molvi Bashir Ahmad Shah today visited Nowgam and expressed solidarity with the bereaved families of Faisal Ahmad Bhat and Mehraj-ud-din Dar who were martyred by Indian army. The delegation also expressed condolences to the family on behalf of amalgam leader and chairman Democratic Freedom Party Shabir Ahmad Shah.

The spokesperson while expressing deep grief and sorrow over the killing of two teenage boys said that due to the presence of Indian occupational forces in this occupied Kashmir, the life and honour of every single Kashmiri is at peril.

Terming the state government’s announcements regarding probe into such brutal killings as deception and fraud, the spokesperson said that there have been more than 300 similar cases and not a single force personnel has been brought to book till date.

He also rejected the beating of drums by some political parties and organizations regarding the repealing of black laws like AFSPA and said these elements are misleading the masses by shedding crocodile tears. “The pro-India elements don’t have any sympathy with the people of Kashmir.”

Appealing people to hold peaceful protests after Friday prayers against the Chattergam killings, the spokesperson said we cannot be mute spectators against such genocide of our youth nor can we stay away from pursuing our goal of freedom despite arbitrary arrests by the so-called government.

Paying glowing tributes to Jammu martyrs on their 67th anniversary, HCJK spokesperson said: “On this fateful day, the communal forces of Dogra massacred about two lakh Muslims and molested thousands of Muslim women but we will leave no stone unturned to take the mission of these martyrs to its logical conclusion.”

Severely condemning the arrest of pro-freedom leaders, the spokesperson said that conducting of elections in presence of occupational forces have no legitimacy.
