Commenting on Modi-Mufti meet, former JK tech savvy CM, Omar Abdullah, in a sarcastic tone, Tuesday wrote on social network site Twitter, “So Mufti Syed has rushed to Delhi to explain to the PM & HM that he didn’t mean it when he said he would take the decision to revoke AFSPA.”
JK CM’s meeting with Modi and Rajnath has come a day after JK government re-affirmed it would work towards a “phased withdrawal” of the controversial Armed Forces Special Powers Act from areas that are free from militancy for some time.
Pertinently, Indian Home Minister Rajnath Singh last month had asserted, “this was not the right time for the withdrawal of AFSPA in Jammu and Kashmir.”
