Pakistan has once again urged the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) to help end the “systematic human rights violations in Jammu and Kashmir”, radio Pakistan reported.
Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Ambassador Tehmina Janjua said this while addressing the council, the report added.
Janjua underlined that the situation of human rights in “occupied territory” remains grave and requires immediate attention of the Human Rights Council.
“Ending human rights violations in Occupied Jammu and Kashmir is the first essential step towards resolution of this long-standing dispute,” Janjua was quoted as having said.
