Stewart Beck, High Commissioner of Canada to India, currently on a visit to the state, met NN Vohra, Governor Jammu and Kashmir, at Raj Bhavan, here Monday.
As per a statement during their hour long meeting, the Governor and the High Commissioner of Canada discussed, interalia various matters, particularly the close ties between India and Canada, and the high potential of further enhancing and strengthening cooperation between the two countries.
Dwelling on the progress achieved by the state in different arenas in the past few years, the Governor hoped to see joint J&K – Canadian ventures materializing in the near future.
Beck was accompanied by Johanne Forest, Head of Political and Economic Programme, High Commission of Canada, New Delhi.
