SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Police on Tuesday arrested an accused involved in a hit-and-run case within an hour of the incident, in south Kashmir’s Awantipora.
A police spokesperson in a statement, said that a road accident took place at Reshipora in which one girl Adeeba Arshid,10, daughter of Arshid Ahmad Sheikh resident of Reshipora was hit by a Dumper bearing registration number JK01AE-3177. ” Driver has been identified as Mohd Haneef Khanday son of Ali Mohd Khanday resident of Meej Pampore.”
Police team apprehended the accused driver within one hour of the incident, it said.
Meanwhile, Police have taken a cognisance of the incident under relevant section of law besides, the dumper has also been seized—(KNO)
