Pattan Police Monday arrested the Driver and seized that Sumo vehicle which had crushed the woman to death a day before at Hamaray Pattan and had run away from the spot.
A police statement said that a sumo had hit a lady, Raja Begum w/o Ab Rahim Dar R/O Mahraj Pora Sopore at Hamaray Pattan on Saturday and run away from the spot. The lady was referred to SKIMS where she succumbed.
Pattan police arrested the driver Mohammad Rafeeq S/O Nazir Khan R/O Batpora Kupwara along with his sumo bearing No.Jk06 1105 and registered an FIR against the accused, 04/2013 Under Section 279,304.
