Srinagar: ‘Indian agencies are frustrated due to popularity of militant outfit Hizbul Mujhahideen and to create confusion, they are using fake letter pads of the outfit to defame and label respected citizens as informers,” this was stated by HM operational spokesperson Burhan-ud-din in a statement to local news agency CNS.

He said recently threatening posters were pasted at various places in which Muhammad Khalil Khan, Mudasir Gulzar, Shabir Ahmed Mir, Nisar Ahmed Ganaie, Muhammad Khalil Koka, Muhammad Rajab Khandey, Farooq Ahmed Ganaie and Zahoor Gulzar were labeled as informers and they were threatened of dire consequences.

“Hizb distances itself from these posters. We appeal freedom loving people to keep a vigil on the aides and agents of Indian agencies. We apprehended many people involved in using our fake letter pads and seeking funds from people. We have to be vigilant as enemy is cunning and powerful,” he said.

The spokesperson while accusing a civilian of killing her wife (Zamrooda Akhtar of Lever Pahalgam) said the husband of the deceased woman was responsible for providing information to army about the hideouts of Adil Mushtaq Reshi, Adil Hussain Sheikh and Maqsood Ahmed Shah at Avora Pahalgam. “Hizb operational chief Mehmood Ghaznavi while addressing the militants paid rich tribute to Zamrooda Akhtar,” the statement reads.
