Police on Sunday claimed to have arrested a Hizb-ul-Mujahideen militant during an operation last night in Magam area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district.

Police sources said that after a tip-off Army and police laid a joint naka in Budran village of Magam town.

They said, “One HM militant Dilawar Ahmad Mir of Goigam, who had ex-filtrated to PaK in the year 2000 and had infiltrated back recently, was apprehended in the operation.”

Magam police has registered a case under Sections 2/3 Emico Act at police station Magam.
