SRINAGAR
Army on Wednesday arrested a Hizbul-Mujahideen militant from Baramulla district in north Kashmir.
Army’s Srinagar based defence spokesperson in a statement issued to GNS said that during a joint operation launched on a specific intelligence by Army and JKP at Momus area of Baramulla last evening.
“During the raid the joint team of party apprehended a militant of HM outfit”, he said, adding that one AK- 47 rifle, one magazine and 20 rounds ammunition was recovered from his possession.
He identified the militant as Bilal Ahmed Bhat, a resident of village Bhatpora, Kunzar.
Meanwhile, police has registered a case and started further investigations in this regard.
