Police on Thursday claimed to have arrested an alleged over ground worker (OGW) in Kulgam district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Police officials said that following a tip off, a police team during a raid arrested the Hizb OGW namely Showkat Ahmad Lone along with a Pistol and 4 rounds.
“Showkat was given a task by Hizb Divisional commander Riyaz Naikoo to carry out attacks and snatch weapons from government forces,” he said.
A case U/S 7/25 A Act has been registered in police station and further investigations taken up.
