SRINAGAR: The Twitter handle of Hizb-ul-Mujahideen was found to have been hacked on Friday with messages denouncing resistance leaders, reports said.

However it is not yet clear that who is behind the hacking.

The tweets posted on it are opposing and criticizing resistance leaders Yasin Malik, chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front, and Syed Ali Shah Geelani, chairperson Huriyat Conference (g).

“Syed Ali Shah Geelani is a puppet of Nawaz Sharif, who even tried to corrupt me and the Hizb with money and land in Pakistan,” a tweet reads.“I implore the people of Kashmir to openly denounce people like Syed Ali Shah Geelani & Yasin Malik.”

Geelani’s children have ‘large businesses’ and ‘are very wealthy.’ The tweets accused Hurriyat chairperson of causing mayhem in Kashmir.

‘Peace will return to Kashmir’ and that ‘dialogue is the only way forward’ to solve the problem concerning the state, another tweet mentions.

While this report was being filed, tweets were continuously being posted on the handle with pictures, perhaps of the families of militants.

“We are returning to India as good souls of Allah. Please save our families…,” last tweet reads
