While refuting the media reports that “CRPF gives ‘clean chit’ to its men” in HMT killing, CRPF Tuesday that judicial enquiry ordered into the case will “definitely bring about the actual cause” behind the death of the deceased.
“We have not issued any such Press Release/ statement in this matter which appears similar to what is being published in the article,” the CRPF spokesperson said in a statement. “We believe the statement appears to be the result of misinterpretation. We never give clean chit to our men.”
Stating that the investigation is solely a judicial matter, the spokesperson said, “we anticipate the truthful outcome of this enquiry and will obey the outcome of judicial report with respect and regards.”
Voicing any pre-occupied opinion on this matter will be deemed as premature, he said. “Moreover, being the true peacekeeper and the most trusted, people friendly & responsible Force of the Union; we extend our full cooperation in Judicial Enquiry to support the proceeding.”
Pertinently, a youth from HMT Gowhar Nazir Dar was killed by CRPF men stationed in HMT camp as per his family when he stepped outside his home in November last year.
