Chairman Democratic Political Party (Nationalist) and Minister for Agriculture Ghulam Hasan Mir Wednesday said that Syed Ali Geelani has its own compulsions which is taking him away from dialogue process.

“I don’t know what is in the mind of Geelani but he should understand that in a civilized society solution to every problem lies in peaceful dialogue,” Mir told CNS adding that stand taken by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq led APHC is a positive development.

Advising Hurriyat leaders to hold dialogue with Government of India without wasting time, Mir said that it is a good gesture on part of the APHC that they have asked New Delhi to create conducive atmosphere for talks.

Agriculture Minister said that both New Delhi and Hurriyat leaders should show some sort of flexibility and go ahead as far as they can go. “Syed Ali Geelani might have his own compulsion but that does not mean others will stop from pursuing right track,” Mir said.
