Officials from various security forces, including CRPF, BSF, ITBP, and other paramilitary forces, will join the minister to review the security plan for the upcoming Amarnath Yatra, which will commence on 1 July and conclude on 30 August, coinciding with Raksha Bandhan.

Highly placed sources in the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) stated, “The Union Minister will engage with the agencies involved in facilitating the 62-day long yatra, while also virtually reviewing the deployment.”

The sources further revealed that the Home Minister is expected to visit the cave shrine, offer prayers, and evaluate the preparations on-site before heading to Jammu, where a public rally is scheduled to commemorate nine years of governance under Prime Minister Narendra Modi as part of the Maha Jan Sampark Abhiyan program.

“If weather conditions permit, the Union Minister is likely to make an appearance at the cave shrine, where he will perform rituals and assess the yatra arrangements,” the sources said.

Meanwhile, a spokesperson from the BJP confirmed that the Union Home Minister will arrive in Jammu on the 23rd of this month to address a public rally in the city.

“The Union Home Minister will deliver a speech at a public rally on 23 June, which coincides with the Balidan Divas of Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, who sacrificed his life for the complete integration of Jammu and Kashmir with the rest of India and the revocation of the discriminatory Article 370, which has been abolished by the government,” said Ravinder Raina, President of the Jammu and Kashmir BJP.

He added that a large-scale public rally will be organized in Jammu city, part of the Jammu parliamentary constituency, and it will be addressed by Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Raina emphasized the need for party leaders and activists to invest more time in mobilizing the public to attend the rallies and listen to Amit Shah’s speech. He urged a significant number of people to gather at the rally venue, for which proper arrangements need to be made well in advance. (KNO)
