SRINAGAR: Authorities on Thursday demolished the houses of two alleged Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) militants in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district, officials said, a day after a police personnel was shot dead in a militant attack in the town.
According to officials, the demolished properties belonged to Aadil Thokar, a resident of Guree, Bijbehara, and Haroon Ganai, a resident of Hassanpora in Anantnag district.
The action followed Wednesday’s firing incident at Lal Chowk, Anantnag, in which militants shot dead a police personnel.
Officials said the demolitions were carried out as part of an ongoing crackdown on militants and the infrastructure allegedly linked to them in the district.
