SRINAGAR: Hrithik Roshan’s sister, Sunaina Roshan has alleged that she is “living in hell” and her family is making her life unbearable because she is in love with a Muslim man.
Her beau, according to media reports is a Kashmiri journalist – Ruhail Amin, a north Kashmir resident who currently works with a news organization in Delhi.
Ruhail is already married and lives in Delhi. However, his parents live in Kashmir.
“I met Ruhail, my boyfriend, last year and because I was in love with a Muslim guy, my father slapped me and told me he was a terrorist,” Sunaina was quoted saying in an interview by media. “I want them to accept Ruhail. I don’t know about marriage but right now I want to be with Ruhail.”
The media quoted her saying that she had met Ruhail on Facebook in 2018 but did not save his number as she didn’t want her parents to know.

“I got in touch with him through his office. He is a journalist called Ruhail Amin. I didn’t want to talk about this but I want them to accept Ruhail right now because they are making my life hell and I cannot tolerate it,” various media outlets quoted her saying in an interview. “They don’t want me to meet him. I don’t know about marriage but right now I want to be with Ruhail. Just because he is Muslim, they cannot accept him. If he was a terrorist, why would he be open in the media? Why would he be all over Google?”
Asked about whether her brother Hrithik is supporting her, Sunaina has said: “Hrithik has no take as he is under my father’s guidance right now. Nobody is okay with my relationship, neither Hrithik nor my father.”
Social media in Kashmir has been abuzz with the news calling out Roshan’s for their “hypocrisy”. Many social media users even pointed out to Hrithik’s marriage with ex-wife, Suzanne Khan, who was also a Muslim, saying one family cannot have different standards for a son and a daughter.
Sunaina has been in news for the last few days after the outbursts against her family including her father and brother. Reports suggest it was an outcome of her family pressure over her relationship. At the same time, however, some reports also indicate that Sunaina, a cancer survivor is also suffering from bipolar disorder, a claim she has dismissed on twitter.
“I have nothing to say what is going on,” Ruhail told Kashmir Life on phone. “Bollywood is a trivial place where people can write anything.” Without talking much, he hung the phone.,
