Police on Wednesday recorded the statement of Farooq Ahmad Dar who was used as human shield by Army in April this year.
Reports said that police called Dar and recorded his statement at SDPO office Magam in Budgam district.
Pertinently, Farooq, an artisan was tied in front of an army Jeep “to avoid stone pelting on it” during Lok Sabha bypolls in Budgam.
The army’s act was severely criticized by human rights activists, civil society members and political circles creating a huge controversy.
