Appealing New Delhi to shed egoist approach and fulfil the promise of Right to Self-Determination to the people of Jammu and Kashmiri, Awami Ittehad Party Chief and Langate lawmaker, Er Rasheed has appealed on Wednesday the people of Kashmir to remain united and fight for the rights and not to succumb.

Addressing a well attended annual day function of “Syed Baha-u-din Memorial High School” at Kanispora in Baramulla, Rasheed said that the people of Jammu and Kashmir neither lack talent nor commitment but their skills have been kept hostage because of the political uncertainty since 1947.

“Holding plebiscite on both sides of LoC is the best way to implement Indian parliament resolution and New Delhi should not be scared of the outcome of the plebiscite if it truly believes J&K is its integral part and Kashmiris its own people. Many forces are hell bent to mislead New Delhi by not representing the real picture of aspirations of Kashmiri people and it is high time for New Delhi to change its policy and really embrace Kashmiris by giving them their rights”.

Rasheed urged for allowing investment in Private Sector in the state for establishing professional colleges and institutions and said that the move will end the sufferings of thousands of students who have to use all their energy in searching the best institutions all across India.
