Municipal Council Islamabad during routine market checking destroyed thousands of substandard milk in town Tuesday morning.
According to revenue officer of the Municipality, Sarfaraz Ahmad, “this was special check-up on the directions of Deputy Commissioner. We found sub-standard milk being sold in market. Accordingly 25 quintals of milk was destroyed on spot in the different places in town.”
As per the officials, there have has bulk number of complaints coming from locals about the impure milk being sold.
“We will be monitoring market very keenly so that people won’t be affected by substandard material being sold. These sorts of inspections will be carried on regular basis in future as well,” said deputy commissioner Islamabad Muneer ul Islam.
