Hurriyat (g) Conference on Thursday said that its chief spokesperson G A Gulzar is under police custody from June 15. The spokesman said that yesterday he was granted bail in Tehsil Court, but was again arrested and kept in confinement in police station Shergari Srinagar.
In a statement issued to media, Hurriyat Conference has strongly condemned this police highhandedness and said that prolonging the custody of pro-freedom leaders and workers have chocked the atmosphere and under a well-knit conspiracy our people in general and youth, in particular, are pushed to the wall.
Hurriyat believes in the peaceful resolution of this age-old dispute, which has been threatening peace and prosperity of not only South Asia but the whole world.
Hurriyat Conference said that these actions by law enforcing agencies can no way deter us from pursuing our sacred mission.
Hurriyat said that rulers should realize and accept the ground realities and historical facts and take some concrete steps to address this burning issue once for all.
