Hurriyat (G) Conference on Sunday condemned the police action and “use of cane-charge and teargas shells” against the student fraternity at SSM College of Engineering, Parihaspora Pattan, Baramulla.
The spokesman in a statement while taking a dig on the use of muscle power by the police administration against peaceful atmosphere within the educational institutions, Hurriyat blamed the police authorities meddling in the affairs of the said college on the behest of their mentors without any legal or moral justification.
Hurriyat castigated such actions and expressed its grave concerns to create a fearful atmosphere and among the student community. Hurriyat demanded a high-level judicial probe in this grave matter in order to bring the culprits to justice and release the incarcerated students without any delay.
