A Hurriyat (g) delegation comprising Gh Nabi Sumji, Gh Ahmed Gulzar, Hakeem Ab Rashid, Bilal Sidiqi, Mohd Yousuf Naqash and Mohd Yaseen Attai Thursday visited District Kupwara and paid glorious tributes to the “martyrs” and expressed grief and sorrow with the families of the deceased, a statement issued by the amalgam here read.

The delegation after visiting Nayeem Qadir’s home held a public rally at Handwara chowk and addressed the people of Handwara, the statement added.

“On one hand our children are mercilessly being killed in cold blood and on the other hand we are denied to mourn the death of our loved ones,” they said.

On the occasion Ghulam Nabi Sumji said, “Though the pro-Indian politicians on these occasions also condemn these incidents but they are equally responsible for this bloodshed. They provide a justification for the forced occupation of India in Kashmir.”

He said in this situation we have to be firm and strong on our stand which is the only option for us and our resolve is that we will never give up our rights and till India is “forcibly occupying” our land. “We will continue our struggle in any way and never sell the blood of martyrs for the sake of small interests.”
