Police have placed senior leaders of Hurriyat Conference (g) under house arrest, Hurriyat spokesperson told KNS.
Akbar said, “police contingents were deployed around the houses of senior Hurriyat (g) leaders, including Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai, Raja Mehraj Ud Din, he himself, and Altaf Ahmad Shah to put them under house arrest.”
The leaders have been placed under house arrest following the shutdown call by separatists against the death of Zahid Rasool Bhat of Botengoo, Bijbehara in Islamabad, after he succumbed to his burn injuries inflicted in an attack by petrol-bombs by a mob in Udhampur in the intervening night of October 9/10.
