Hurriyat (G) Moves to Court, Appeals for FIR against Omar, Bukhari

SRINAGAR

Hurriyat Conference (G) general secretary Tuesday submitted an application to the Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM), Srinagar for filing an FIR against the former chief minister, Omar Abdullah and former SSP Srinagar Ashiq Bukhari with regard to the 2010 civilian killings.

120 youngsters mostly students were killed in police and forces actions during 2010 agitation.

“Hurriyat Conference general secretary, Ghulam Nabi Sumji submitted the application appealing CJM Srinagar to lodge FIR against Omar and Bukhari,” Hurriyat Conference (G) spokesman, Ayaz Akbar informed Kashmir Life.

Akbar said that the CJM Srinagar forwarded the application to the SSP Srinagar for “necessary action.” He added “the CJM Srinagar V S Bhou wrote to SSP Srinagar to submit a report on or before April 6.”

Ashiq Bukhari was SSP Srinagar during the 2010 unrest.
