Rebellion group of Hurriyat (M) which calls itself ‘Hurriyat JK’ has appealed people to observe January 26 as ‘black day’.

The group comprising Shabir Shah, Nayem Khan, Azam Inquilabi and Yousuf Naqash Wednesday issued a joint statement stressing upon people to observe complete shutdown on January 26.

India will be celebrating its 62nd Republic Day on January 26. Kashmiri separatists have been issuing shutdown calls on both January 26 and August 15, Indian Independence Day.

Shah and others very recently started parallel activities after they were expelled from Hurriyat (M).

They claim to represent ‘real Hurriyat Conference’ alleging the leaders in Hurriyat (M) of using the forum for their personal gains.

Shah and company also revealed that the unity agreement reached between two factions of Hurriyats in 2008 was breached by Hurriyat (M) leaders.

They also alleged that Hurriyat (M) leaders indirectly participated in the 2002 assembly elections.
