It stated, “the relatives of prisoners lodged in outside Kashmir jails have to undergo torturous times to meet their relatives. In some cases, it said the prisoners were not produced on hearing dates to increase their jail periods.”

The conglomerate demanded that the Kashmir prisoners lodged in outside J&K jails should be shifted back to Kashmir so that the detenues and their relatives feel a sigh of relief.

The Hurriyat (m) statements said, “it has been a ritual around the world to release prisoners from jails on auspicious days like Eid. However, India and its stooges in Kashmir continue to follow undemocratic and inhuman policy by not releasing the prisoners.”
