Hurriyat Conference faction led by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has hailed Pakistan and Pakistani people for observing Kashmir Solidarity Day in connection with the ongoing freedom struggle in Jammu and Kashmir.

In a statement the conglomerate’s spokesman said that Pakistan has consistently supported the rightful Kashmiri struggle on political, diplomatic and moral grounds. He termed it as appreciative and bold policy on Kashmir undertaken by the Pakistan and its people.

“As Kashmir continued to bleed and suffer on all fronts for demanding right to self determination, Pakistan introduced Kashmir dispute to the global community and left no stone unturned to garner support from the International community to resolve the decade old issue”, the spokesman said.

He said that Pakistan has been the supporter of Kashmir cause from the day one. The spokesman stressed that the country fought several wars for the lasting resolution of Kashmir issue.

The spokesman said the Kashmir Solidarity Day was observed in Pakistan for pledging the resolve to continue with their support on political, diplomatic and moral fronts for Kashmiris who are engaged in their fight for freedom from past 60 years.

The APHC thanked Pakistan and its people for lending unconditional support for the Kashmir cause. The spokesman further said the APHC wants to reiterate that there would be no permanent peace and stability in south Asia till Kashmir issue is not resolved according to the wishes and aspirations of people.

Asserting that APHC always wanted good relations between India and Pakistan, and peace and progress in the region, the spokesman said it can be achieved only by solving the Kashmir dispute. He said that Indians stubbornness, and its policy of settling the issue bilaterally, was the main impediment in the way of solution of K issue. Spokesman informed that till India won’t take bold political steps and accept formulates a Kashmir policy keeping in view the historical realities, the instability and tension would continue to plague the region.
