Hurriyat (M) to announce ‘clear political strategy’ on Mirwaiz’s arrival

In a meeting convened on Saturday to discuss the ongoing political situation in Kashmir, Hurriyat Conference (M) said the ongoing situation in the valley should be seen through the prism on ongoing movement.

“The conglomerate while taking into consideration the sensitivities’ and running anger of people said that after subjecting people to torture, wanton arrests, life time imprisonments, and now hanging of innocent Kashmiris should be seen through the prism of the ongoing serious situation persisting in Kashmir. It has also clearly reflected what has been in store for the Kashmiri people in the coming days”, the party spokesman said in a statement issued here.

According to a statement issued here the participants said that those people who were always claiming that normalcy has returned to Kashmir, “now have accepted the fact that there has been no peace in Kashmir and it continues to be cause of worry for the Kashmiris people, India and Pakistan”

“The participants appealed the conscious people of India, Pakistan and to the world democracies to play their role for the final settlement of Kashmir issue in order to evade war and insecurity and bring peace and stability in south Asia.

Keeping in view the current situation and public aspirations, the participants said APHC favors formulation of a solid political strategy so that Kashmiri people have a united voice and take one recourse to deal with the current serious situation persisting in Kashmir”, the spokesman said.

The participants said that the APHC would formally announce a clear political strategy to deal with the situation once the conglomerates Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq is ‘released’ from Delhi.

“APHC demands that the steps should be taken to bring back the mortals of martyr Afzal Guru. The participants expressed shock over the fact that the so called largest democracy did not intimated the family members about the unwarranted hanging of Afzal Guru. Hence they said his brothers, wife and children even could not see their dear Guru for one last time”, the statement read.

Meanwhile, the meeting also expressed concern over the new wave of raids and detentions of Kashmiri youth. They said such tyrant steps won’t break the will of Kashmiris; even it would strengthen the resolve of Kashmiris to take the freedom struggle forward.
