Station House Officer (SHO) police station Qalaamabaad was found dead in his room, said police on Sunday morning.
As per police spokesman, the body was found lying in his room in the residential quarter of the police station. Quoting his SPO’s and other staff who were present in the quarter, the spokesman said he has committed suicide at about 8.30 AM. The bullet injury was found on his head which was fired at a point blank range due to which all the brain has oozed out.
The officer was an Sub Inspector of age around 55 years. He was posted in Qalaamabaad for the last 5 months. Actually a resident of Hathimulla but he was now settled in Zaloora Sopore.
